After completing his eye surgery training in the United States, Dr. Preschel returned to Venezuela in 1998 to work as an Attending Eye Surgeon at the training program of the Venezuelan Society for the Advancement of Ophthalmology, where he was actively involved in the post-graduate training of Residents and Fellows in Ophthalmology.
