Robert E. Brass, M.D., Founder of Brass Eye Center, is a LASIK surgeon in Albany and Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology as an eye physician and surgeon in New York. Dr. Brass earned his Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at New York Medical College where he was Chief Resident. In addition he completed his Corneal Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin where he obtained specialized training and experience in LASIK Eye Surgery. He obtained additional experience in LASIK surgery in Albany while serving as the Medical Director of LASIKPlus in Albany overseeing LASIK patients throughout upstate New York.

Dr. Brass is an experienced cataract surgeon and provides cataract surgery in Albany using presbyopia correcting intraocular lens implants (IOL), such as the ReSTOR Lens and ReZoom Lens, to eliminate the need for eye glasses and bifocals after cataract surgery. Dr. Brass is a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center hospital (AMCH) in New York where he teaches new eye surgeons in New York advanced techniques of cataract surgery, lens implants and corneal transplants. In addition he trains AMCH ophthalmology medical residents at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany in ophthalmic surgery and clinical skills.
