	Arturo Betancourt, M.D., F.A.C.S. Arturo Betancourt, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a LASIK Surgeon in Baltimore and is the Medical Director & President of the Baltimore Washington Eye Center in Glen Burnie & Clarksville Maryland where he provides LASIK in Baltimore, Custom LASIK, LASIK Eye Surgery in Baltimore and other types of Laser Eye Surgery. Dr. Betancourt received his Medical Degree with Honors at the University of Puerto Rico and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In addition Dr. Betancourt served as a Flight Surgeon in the Middle East and Attending Eye Surgeon at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Dr. Betancourt has been providing medical eye care in Baltimore and surgical eye care in Baltimore for patients in the Greater Baltimore area for over 17 years. In addition to performing LASIK Surgery in Baltimore, Dr. Betancourt performs Cataract Surgery in Baltimore using presbyopia correcting intraocular lens implants (IOL) to eliminate bifocals for patients who suffer from cataracts in Baltimore. 	Shari Strier, O.D. Dr. Shari Strier is the Director of Clinical Services at Baltimore Washington Eye Center. She received her undergraduate degree with honors from Tulane University and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry – where she graduated first in her class.Dr. Strier completed her Residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Baltimore. There, she obtained extensive experience in the diagnosis and therapeutic management of ocular diseases, pre- and post-operative management of cataract, glaucoma, retinal surgeries and diagnosis and treatmet of dry eyes. At, Baltimore Washington Eye Center, Dr. Strier’s clinical responsibilities have include routine eye care for patients of all ages, evaluation and management of chronic and acute eye diseases (including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, dry eyes and glaucoma), and fitting of routine and specialty contact lenses.A premier optometrist in the Baltimore region, Dr. Shari Strier is a member of the American Optometric Association and has Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. She has also been appointed by the Governor of Maryland to sit on the Quality Enhancement and Insurance Committee for the Board of Examiners in Optometry.
	Jenny Hahne, O.D. The most recent eye doctor to join our Baltimore Washington Eye Center is Dr. Jenny Hahne. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There, she completed internships in pediatrics, contact lenses and ocular disease before externing at the University of Miami- Bascom Palmer Institute. Dr. Hahne also completed a residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Baltimore, where she received extensive clinical experience in diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma and pre-and post-operative cataract management as well as management of dry eye conditions. During her residency, she participated in lectures at Johns Hopkins University-Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. Jenny Hahne is a member of the American Optometric Association and is a registered Optometrist in the states of Texas, Florida and Maryland.
