Robert E. Brass, M.D., Founder of Brass Eye Center , is a Corneal Specialist in Albany where he provides consultation, diagnosis and treatment of dry eye and dry eye syndrome for greater Albany area patients. He is Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology as an Ophthalmologist in New York. Dr. Brass earned his Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at New York Medical College where he was Chief Resident. In addition he completed his Corneal Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin where he participated in all facets of dry eye patient care. Dr. Brass is a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center hospital (AMCH) in New York where he teaches new eye surgeons in New York diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes including the use of artifical tears, punctal plugs and Restasis eye drops. Dr. Brass has a unique perspective on dry eyes not only as Corneal Specialist, but also as a dry eye patient himself, making him particularly sensitive to providing help for dry eyes so that patients can become more comfortable and maintain their eye health and vision.
